Dzisiaj króciutki wstęp i biorę się za kolejną edycję Isle of Lime.

Tjaukle to źródło wody znajdujące się w centralnej części Gotlandii, ale także nazwa trzeciej edycji whisky, którą można nabyć w oficjalnej dystrybucji.

Do kupażu użyto destylaty z ok 30 beczek, w znacznej części były to beczki po bourbonie, ale znalazły się również beczki ze świeżego amerykańskiego dębu.

Whisky zabutelkowano z mocą 46,5 % vol., a jej wiek to 4 lata.

Na rynku pojawiła się w czerwcu 2019 roku w ilości 14000 butelek.

Próbujemy:

Nos: dość łagodna, choć na pierwszy plan wychodzą goździki i gałka muszkatołowa, świeży słód, cytrusy, zapach koperku jak w zestawie do kiszenia ogórków, korzeń chrzanu, jest kwiatowa, przede wszystkim czarny bez, nieco nut kwaśnych, kiszonka, gdzieś w tle wanilia, nuty warzywne, z czasem pomarańcze z goździkami, skórka cytryny, suszona trawa, odległy dym, świeże owoce, świeżo ścięte drewno, po dłuższej chwili odrobina karmelu, momentami, zapach kojarzy mi się z musztardą, nieco roślinna

Smak: lekki dym, dębina, nieco goryczki, ponownie cytrusy, grejpfrut, chili, odrobina gorzkich owoców, owoce tropikalne – melon żółty, ślady brzoskwiń, miód, winogrona białe, odrobina czekolady, zielone jabłka, mango, nieco wanilii, ślady mięty

Finisz: dębowy, zielone banany, świeże owoce, nieco cierpki, ale łagodny

Chwilę się zastanawiałem jak mam podsumować tę whisky i nadal do końca nie jestem pewien czy zrobię to prawidłowo.

Tjaukle to bardzo intrygujący produkt.

Gdy nalałem ją do kieliszka, pierwsze skojarzenie jakie nasunęło mi się na myśl, to zestaw do kiszenia ogórków, zapach był dość intensywny, warzywno-roślinny, bardzo zaskakujący z dodatkiem chrzanu i kwiatów czarnego bzu.

Po chwili pojawiły się przyprawy, a z czasem coraz więcej cytrusów, owoców tropikalnych, słodu, odległego dymu i odrobina słodkiej wanilii.

Wciąż jednak wracałem do tego pierwszego zapachu, z czasem nawet przypominał mi nieco musztardę, co już całkowicie było odjechane 😉

W smaku jednak, kiszonych ogórków nie było. Tutaj już wszystko zgodnie z planem, delikatna dębina, ślady wanilii, świeże owoce, nic agresywnego, ani przytłaczającego.

W finiszu zielone banany, nadal sporo świeżości i już zawartość kieliszka zniknęła.

Tjaukle to 4-letnia whisky, która nie jest bardzo złożona w smaku, ani specjalnie skomplikowana.

Jest za to bardzo świeża, generalnie łagodna, z nutką ostrzejszych akcentów w postaci pojawiającego się chili czy białego pieprzu.

Z czasem robi się nieco słodsza, bardziej owocowa.

To wyjątkowo łatwo pijalna pozycja i chyba to jest jej największy atut i wada zarazem.

Strasznie szybko znika z kieliszka i chyba nie chce być jakoś bardzo dogłębnie analizowana 😉

Specyficzna, intrygująca i nieco dziwna zarazem. Taka jest dla mnie Tjaukle.

Ale ja lubię takie dziwactwa 😊

Tjaukle is a source of water located in the central part of Gotland, but also the name of the third edition of whisky, which can be purchased in the official distribution.

About 30 barrels were used to create this product, most of them were ex-bourbon casks, but there were also barrels made of virgin American oak.

The whisky was bottled with 46.5% vol. And its age is 4 years.

It appeared on the market in June 20019 in the amount of 14,000 bottles.

It is about the time to taste it:

Nose: quite mild, although cloves and nutmeg come out in the foreground, fresh malt, citrus, dill smell like in the set for pickling cucumbers, horseradish root, is floral, especially elderberry, slightly sour notes, pickle, vanilla somewhere in the background , vegetable notes, with time oranges and cloves, lemon zest, dried grass, distant smoke, fresh fruit, freshly cut wood, after a while a bit of caramel, sometimes, the smell reminds me of mustard, slightly vegetable

Taste: light smoke, oak, slightly bitter, again citruses, grapefruit, chili, a bit of bitter fruit, tropical fruits – yellow melon, traces of peaches, honey, white grapes, a bit of chocolate, green apples, mango, some vanilla, traces of mint

Finish: oak, green bananas, fresh fruit, slightly tart, but mild

I was wondering for a moment how to sum up this whisky and I’m still not sure if I will do it correctly.

Tjaukle is a very intriguing product.

When I poured it into the glass, the first association that came to my mind was a cucumber pickle set, the smell was quite intense, vegetable and floral, very surprising with the addition of horseradish and elderberry flowers.

After a while, spices appeared, and with time more and more citrus, tropical fruit, malt, distant smoke and a bit of sweet vanilla.

Still, I kept coming back to that first aroma, in time it even reminded me of the mustard, which was completely crazy 😉

In taste, however, there was not any cucumber. Here everything is as planned, subtle oak, traces of vanilla, fresh fruit, nothing aggressive or overwhelming.

In the finish green bananas, still a lot of freshness and the content of the glass have disappeared ☹

Tjaukle is a 4-year-old whisky, which is neither very complex nor especially complicated.

It is very fresh, generally mild, with a hint of sharper accents in the form of appearing flavors of chili or white pepper.

Over time, it gets a bit sweeter, more fruity.

This is an extremely easily drinkable position and it is probably its biggest asset and defect at the same time.

It disappears quickly from a glass and I don’t think it want to be thoroughly analyzed 😉

Specific, intriguing and a bit strange at the same time. That’s what Tjaukle is to me.

But I like such weirdness😊
